Congaree National Park
If your bucket list includes national parks, then Congaree National Park’s state-champion trees await. Cayce and West Columbia are just a few miles away from the park. Walk through the largest intact expanse of old growth bottomland hardwood forest remaining in the southeastern United States. Canoeing (contact Palmetto Outdoor, click here), hiking, fishing, photography and camping are just some of your many options available. Currently, the walking trail, restrooms at the visitor center and Cedar Creek Canoe Access are OPEN.
Palmetto Outdoor offers guided kayaking tours. Another local fishing guide is Frank's Fly Arts (click for website)
